As a Clinical Psychologist I provide individual psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and adults.
My work with adults typically focuses on issues of stress, anxiety, depression, family conflict, career/parenting decisions, and difficult life changes. When working with children and adolescents, concerns commonly presented include behavioral and emotional challenges, attention deficits, learning disabilities, self-esteem, anxiety, poor school achievement, and motivation problems. I also specialize in Persian/Iranian-American cultural issues and work closely with immigrant families from a range of backgrounds.
My training has been in a broad range of approaches and draws on a number of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based therapies. My approach to clients is to individualize treatment programs in order to accommodate optimally the needs of the individuals involved.
I welcome clients of all cultural backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
